Your garage floor isn't the only concrete taking a beating. Yorba Linda has some of the largest residential slabs in the county: long driveways, deep RV pads, workshops and stable aisles. More concrete, and more load on it. We coat driveways, patios, pool decks and interior slabs across the city. Free on-site estimate. 10-year material and craftsmanship warranty.
Driveways, patios, pool decks, porches and walkways take the worst of it here, and in Yorba Linda there is simply more of all of it. Half-acre and acre lots through the equestrian areas, the older custom homes along the trail system, the newer tracts up around Vista del Verde. Driveways run long, and a great many have a dedicated RV or trailer pad beside them.
Scale changes the job in two ways. The first is load. An RV, a boat trailer or a loaded truck concentrates far more weight on a much smaller contact patch than a car does, and a coating that is fine under a sedan will print and lift under a tandem axle parked in the same spot all summer. The second is that big slabs are usually poured in bays with joints between them, and those joints move independently. Both are specification questions, and both are answered before anyone opens a bucket.
A coating doesn't replace your concrete. It bonds into the slab you already own. On a Yorba Linda property that often means one system carrying across a driveway, an RV pad and a workshop floor, specified to the heaviest thing that will ever sit on it rather than the average.
Concrete doesn't have to stay hidden under carpet. In houses this size the slab runs a long way, and a continuous coated floor is one of the few finishes that can cross that much ground without a seam. Once the carpet or tile is up, that slab becomes the finished floor: seamless, quick to sweep, with no grout lines or seams for dirt to settle into.
What makes that worth doing is how the floor is built. Every other option is a separate material laid over your slab. A coating isn't laid on the concrete. It is ground into it, and it cures as one continuous surface with nothing to lift, catch, or come apart at a seam.

Metallic epoxy and solid color are the two finishes we install inside, and we can coat a single room or carry the same floor through several. On larger homes we will usually walk the whole ground floor with you, because the cost per square foot comes down as the run gets longer.
The first floor that meets wet shoes and grit off the driveway, and on an equestrian property it meets a good deal more than that. A coated slab hoses down rather than holding it.
Water resistant underfoot, so a tipped detergent bottle or a leaking washer is a wipe rather than a stain in the subfloor. Solid color is the usual pick, and it brightens a room that rarely has a window.
One seamless surface with nothing for crumbs, flour or spills to sit in. In the larger kitchens here it also means a single unbroken floor from the range through to a walk-in pantry, with no threshold in between.
High traffic, and where transitions look worst. In a long single-storey plan a coated hallway can run the length of the house as one piece, which is not something a tile or plank floor will do without a break.
Where metallic epoxy earns its keep. Pigment moves through the resin as it cures, so the pattern settles on site. In a detached workshop, studio or tack room it also gives you a hard, washable surface over a slab that was poured as utility concrete.
Converted outbuildings are where moisture rises through the slab. A detached workshop, barn or garage is very often poured without a vapor barrier under it, so a moisture barrier primer goes down first wherever the readings call for it.
Three systems cover almost every home we coat. Flake goes outside, metallic goes inside, and solid color works in either when you want the floor to stay quiet. All three are epoxy and polyaspartic systems, all three go down over ground and prepared concrete, and all three carry the same 10-year warranty. What changes is the texture, the look, and where each one belongs. Tell us the room and we will tell you which one fits it.

One even color, no movement, no pattern. It suits laundry rooms, pantries, mud rooms, and hallways where you want the concrete bright and clean rather than decorative. Low maintenance: sweep and mop, no waxing and no resealing. It is also the most straightforward of the three to install.
Our main floor system, and the one that goes outside. Color flake is broadcast into the wet epoxy, then locked under a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. The texture gives grip when the surface is wet and hides dust and tire marks between cleans. Pick your blend from the color chart, or we will bring samples out with the estimate.

Our interior finish. Pigment moves through the resin as it cures, so the pattern is settled on site and no two floors finish alike. It suits living rooms, entryways, kitchens, and home gyms. Metallic colors are worth seeing in person before you choose, and we can bring them to the estimate.
A coating is only as good as the slab under it and the specification written for it. On big slabs carrying heavy vehicles, both have to be right.
We diamond grind every surface before anything goes down, which opens the concrete so the coating bonds into it rather than sitting on top. On a long Yorba Linda driveway or an RV pad we build the system to the load rather than the square footage: a heavier build where the axles sit, joints honoured rather than bridged so the bays can move independently, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat over the whole run. Cracks are chased, cut and filled, and spalled edges rebuilt.
Skip that work and the floor lets go at the bond line, and on a trailer pad it goes exactly where the weight sits, in a neat rectangle. Putting it right costs more than doing it properly the first time.
That is why every residential floor we install carries a 10-year material and craftsmanship warranty. Evolve Epoxy is licensed, bonded and insured under Lic. #1084974.

High standards protect you from low-quality experiences. We are a small, family-owned crew run by Steve Monroe, and the people who quote your floor are the people who grind, coat and finish it. Large-lot properties with driveways, pads and outbuildings to coat are routine work for us here.
We open the concrete with diamond grinders so the coating bonds into the slab instead of sitting on top of it. No acid etching, and no shortcuts on the part of the job you cannot see once it is finished.
Every residential floor carries our 10-year material and craftsmanship warranty. The full terms sit on our Terms and Conditions page, so you can read them before you commit to anything.
Lic. #1084974, held in California. Worth asking any contractor for their number before work starts on your property, and worth checking that it is current.
Not a franchise and not a call center. You deal with the same small crew from the first visit through to the final coat, and you can ask them questions while they work.
We come out, measure, look at the condition of the slab, and give you a real number. No charge for the visit, no obligation, and no pressure to book on the spot.
Military, veteran, and first responder discounts are available. Ask for details when you book your estimate and we will apply it to your quote.
It comes down to three things:
1. the square footage,
2. the condition of the slab, and the finish you choose.
A spalled driveway needs far more prep than a clean laundry room, and prep is where the labor sits, so two jobs of the same size can price differently. We do not guess over the phone. We measure on site, look at the concrete, and give you a fixed number with no charge for the visit.
Call us or fill in our free quote form and we will book a time that suits you.
Plan on more than one day for an outdoor floor, and on a large driveway or RV pad plan on more than that. We grind and prep first, then coat, then let it cure. We will give you a real day count for the actual area rather than a standard answer.
Foot traffic is about 8 hours. Vehicles need longer, in as little as 48 hours on a driveway. An RV, boat or loaded trailer should stay off longer than a car, and we will tell you how long for your build. Cure times stretch in cold weather.
Yes. Once the carpet, tile or vinyl is up, we coat the slab underneath. In detached workshops and converted outbuildings we take moisture readings first, because those slabs often have no vapor barrier.
Yes, if it is specified for it. The failure people describe as a coating being crushed is nearly always a thin build softening under a concentrated load and a hot tyre. We build heavier where the axles sit and finish with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. Tell us what parks on it, including anything seasonal, and we will spec to that rather than to a car.
